While the details are still being worked out, it appears Billy Lane’s popular Sons of Speed antique motorcycle boardtrack races will expand from one to three classes starting with the races in March 2018.
The next Sons of Speed races are scheduled for Bike Week on Saturday, March 17 at the New Smyrna Speedway, south of Daytona Beach.
At this time, the three classes of race bikes are:
45 Shoot-Out (45 cubic inch flathead racers)
Early 61s (the older and slower 61 cubic inch boardtrack racers)
Hot 61s (the faster 61 cubic inch boardtrack racers)
