Years ago, TAM Communications (publisher of American Iron Magazine) used to publish a very popular magazine called Indian Motorcycle Illustrated. This was before the Indian Motorcycle brand was resurrected, so it focused on classic Indian motorcycles built in 1953 or earlier, and their history.
Back issues of the old Indian Motorcycle Illustrated are still sold at Greaserag.com but several issues have long ago sold out. They are now highly respected collectors items.

First issue of the original Indian Motorcycle Illustrated magazine from 1993.
There is a growing appreciation of the old pre-1953 Indian motorcycles as well as growing audience for the newer generation motorcycles like the Roadmaster, Dark Horse, Scout Bobber and FTR 1200 Indians.
What do you think about our resurrecting the old magazine as a special issue in 2020? We are thinking to expand it to cover both older and more current Indian motorcycles? Full feature Indian motorcycles, (old and current), tech and how-to, customs, racing and Indian motorcycle history?
The team here at American Iron Magazine is always looking for interesting new ways for our readers to enjoy the motorcycle sport. Who ever says “print is dead” isn’t paying attention to us or our readers here.
